I liked this book. It was fun to read. I enjoyed the characters. It's set in the summer so they have no school.
The main characters are 14 year olds who are learning about (and practicing) the law of attraction. We get to know their families and how this knowledge changes their lives. It gets dramatic towards the end, but I'll not spoil it for other readers.
I read this in one sitting (Just over a couple of hours) because the time went so fast! I would like to know what else these friends and their families get up to.
There are a several typos (so I do hope the editor gets to correct those) but they don't detract much from the quality and enjoyment of the story. I hope the editor Barbara Stern, lets us all know when she's edited it again, and then you'll know it's sorted. -)
A wonderful, much needed book for the world we live in. Take a read and see how gratitude is essential to a life well lived. When you know everyone & everything is interconnected, and truly believe it, things change. An enlightening story for today's youth, who are our promising future.
A charming and upbeat story for tweens and early teens. It's even a good light read for their mothers. It shows the power of friendships and optimism.
I liked "The Gratitude Club" and gave it 4 stars because I believe we need more books for children that address the power of the mind. I think this book is a very good read for any teen who has an inner desire to perform 'magic' in the everyday world by focusing on his or her own thinking process. I also recommend this book to anyone who enjoyed the concepts of thought manifestation and attraction as discussed in "The Secret".
